A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at a Valley Center intersection that left three people, including a 3-year-old girl, with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash happened around 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Valley Center and Mirar De Valle roads. A 30-year-old man was riding a 2007 Honda motorcycle southbound on Valley Center Road while a 39-year-old man was behind the wheel of a 2017 Nissan Altima heading east on Mirar De Valle Road. The Nissan driver stopped at the intersection, then made a left turn onto Valley Center Road. As the Nissan driver was completing the turn, the motorcyclist struck the left rear bumper of the Nissan and was ejected from his motorcycle. The Honda rider was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he was later pronounced dead. The Nissan driver and his two passengers, a 42-year-old woman and a 3- year-old girl, were taken to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment of their injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening.
