A motorcyclist was killed last Sunday in an accident that left one dead and another with moderate injuries.
The victim of the accident has been identified by Riverside County Coroner’s Office as 62-year-old Thomas Gomez.
According to police, the two motorcycles collided on Deep Canyon Road near Coral Bell Circle. Following the collision, Gomez was pronounced dead at around 8:30 pm. The other rider was rushed to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident led to the temporary closure of Deep Canyon Road from Lavender Way to Coral Bells Circle.
As riders we are always highly aware of our greatest dangers on the road – drivers and changing road conditions. It’s easy to overlook the possibility that motorcycles on the road can pose just as great, albeit less common, of a danger to us.
It’s a tragedy that Thomas Gomez lost his life in this incident, and conversely a marvel that the second riders in the incident survived. The Riverside motorcycle lawyers here at RiderzLaw offer our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Gomez, and wish a speedy recovery to the other rider involved.
Please riders we urge you to stay safe and look out for yourselves out on the roadways.
