Of course, as riders we are unable to know exactly what kind of driver we are sharing the roads around us with. It’s for this reason that we must ride in a way that accommodates even the most inexperienced or under-qualified of drivers. Though no arrests were made or citations issued on-scene, it’s difficult not to consider that things may have gone differently had someone else been behind the wheel of the van. Our deepest condolences go out to those affected by this tragedy, and we wish riders to remain safe and cautious at all times while on their bikes.
