A man was killed last Sunday, January 27, 2018 in a motorcycle accident that occurred in Carlsbad.
The incident took place on Carlsbad Blvd around 6:00 pm.
The rider has been identified as 41-year-old San Diego resident Jason Betts.
A car made a U-turn in front of the oncoming motorcycle, causing the collision.
There was also a female passenger on the motorcycle who suffered moderate injuries.
It’s said that the driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with police, but they have not stated whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident, which remains under investigation.
