NEWPORT BEACH MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LAWYER REPORT: The motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law have a tragic accident to report from Newport Beach. Costa Mesa resident Todd A. Davis, Jr, a 26-year-old rider, lost his life in Newport Beach. He was riding his 2014 Yamaha FZ-09 on northbound Irvine Ave, when the driver of a Mazda CX-5, who was travelling southbound on Irvine, began a left turn onto Orchard Dr. The Mazda turned into the path of the oncoming motorcyclist, who struck the car and was ejected, suffering critical injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash, although they say it does not appear that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision. Regardless, this is an accident that never should have happened. Whether it was carelessness, distracted driving, or failure to ride within skill level, this motorcycle accident was 100% preventable.
