It’s finally happened. I’ve finally bought a new pair of riding motorcycle boots. I’d been thinking about it for a while and thought it would be nice to try them out. I have to say after six months of use my pair of MIA motorcycle boots were a good investment; much more upside than I anticipated.
I’m a born Floridian; don’t hold that against me. It’s an eclectic state, but it’s also usually extremely hot. So much heat that it’s flip flop season most of the year. For a time, putting socks on was a mental struggle, but I digress.
I bought my new boots this past January. I knew I wanted them to be black to disguise any scuff and stains. I knew I wanted them to have good traction on the bottom in case I found myself having to push my bike in gravel, or up a hill for whatever reason (always be prepared for the unexpected). I also knew I wanted the boots to cover my ankles with proper protective measures.
These were my specifications while I searched for boots. All of these things are present in the MIA boots and more. The more would be the added height I achieve when I put the shoes on. It allows me to put both heels of my feet down on the ground now as I’m a little vertically challenged otherwise. I was also surprised by the level of comfort I feel when I wear the MIA boots. I had a preconceived idea that the boots would be heavy and rough. Luckily, my boots have a soft lining on the inside and a smooth finish along the toes inside as well.
During the winter, I appreciated the added coverage and lining because my feet remained warm against the cold wind. Now that we’re in the summer months, I’m still wearing these boots. My feet haven’t started sweating while riding and I feel like the boots actually protect my feet from the exhaust pipe and engine heat.
Boots are also a solid form of protection in case of an accident. They fully cover the skin well past my ankles and are thick enough to add another dense layer of protection against the asphalt. It’s because of the quality leather finish, I know these boots will be long lasting and durable.
Another major bonus is the MIA motorcycle boots are fashionable. They aren’t bulky, masculine, or ugly, which was a real concern of mine when searching. I can pair these boots with a trendy outfit and feel comfortable knowing my shoe game isn’t lacking.
All in all, I give these boots a 10/10. I highly recommend these boots to other female riders. What brands are you wearing this summer?
As always, stay safe in these streets!
