In this part of my interview with Travis we find out what he’s riding, his dream bike, and how he’s feeling about the bigger bike’s speed.
T: What kind of bike are you driving?
TF: So, I’m riding a 2012 Suzuki Boulevard. It’s a 650, and it’s a good bike. I really like it, but I’m already thinking about what my next bike is going to be. Someone told me that’s kind of the curse of riding, you’re always thinking about the next.
T: It’s true, until you get your dream bike.
T: Do you have an idea what your dream bike is?
TF: No. If I was able to find and get my hands on my dad’s old Harley that would be cool because it was his. Then it would be mine, but I don’t know if that thing’s still around. It would be cool though.
My dad made this little seatbelt thing that he would wrap around us when it was just him and me. I have all these crazy pictures of me just riding everywhere with him on the back of his Harley. So, I think that’s definitely where I’ll end up someday, with a Harley.
T: Those bikes are very nice, very expensive.
TF: Yeah, I know. My dad found this bike on Craigslist for a thousand bucks.
Did you know there are two sounds in the world that are patented? One of them is the MGM lion and the sound a Harley makes. [NOTE: This is not the case, nor is it true, but was part of the interview and we were unable to research it right at the moment!]
T: I did not know that.
TF: Yep, my mom told me about it. I don’t know if it’s changed, but the sound a Harley makes and an MGM lion are patented. Isn’t that crazy?
T: Yeah. Wow. Learn something new. How are you feeling on the faster bike?
TF: Um, well I haven’t taken it on the freeway yet because I am obeying the law since I only have the permit. I have the certificate, I just haven’t been to the DMV yet to get the license, but there are a couple open spots on Riverside. So at this point, only surface streets.
Hope you all enjoyed this part of my interview with Travis. There’s more to come, so make sure to check back.
Stay safe in these streets!
