The wait is finally over! My winter leather motorcycle jacket has arrived. I’m excited, and extremely grateful to have received it in time for the high winds and low temperatures in Los Angeles. Below I’ll give my initial assessment of the jacket as it’s the first time I’ve bought a motorcycle jacket through Amazon.
First things first, yes I did purchase this jacket through Amazon. Even more surprising, I didn’t buy a name brand jacket, I went with a vendor who makes his own jackets. The vendor is called World of Leather, and the majority of their jackets are made out of lamb skin. Of course, I was a little skeptical at first, but the jackets were reasonably priced and had good reviews. So, I figured why not and found a design I liked, then placed my order.
The jacket arrived within a week, and I was very happy to discover the online sizing chart was accurate as the jacket fits my body wonderfully. A lot of times I find the chest will be a little tight, or the arms will be snug. However, this jacket didn’t disappoint at all as it’s a comfortable fit all the way around.
The jacket comes equiped with two pocket on the outside, and a phone holder inside the left breast of the jacket. The asymmetrical zipper provides a cozy fit and adds another layer of defense against the weather. Given the recent pick up in the winds over the past couple days, this jacket has been life saving on my rides.
I have no regrets about buying this jacket as it is the for the first winter in years I’m fully comfortable riding in colder temperatures. I actually felt warm on my ride to work and the Santa Ana winds were really wild today. I felt the pressure of the wind, but none of the cold frigid air assaulting my core.
I’m actually kind of looking forward to this winter season because of my new jacket, and that in itself is a sentiment I never thought would cross my mind. So, if you don’t have a leather jacket, I highly recommend it for the cold weather ahead.
Stay safe in these streets!
