ROHNERT PARK MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LAWYER REPORT: The motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law have a tragic accident to report from Rohnert Park. On Wednesday, August 23 shortly before 6 p.m., 23-year-old Fabian Carreras-Hermosillo was killed by a DUI driver of a pickup truck. Police believe that Carreras-Hermosillo was traveling southbound on Snyder Lane when 63-year-old Robert Bosch, who was driving his Ford Ranger northbound, made a left turn right into the path of the motorcyclist. The rider was traveling at approximately 30-35mph and could not avoid the collision.
Bosch was found wandering away from the scene after hitting a sign post. According to police, he was found to have a BAC of .26, more than 3x the legal limit in California. He has been booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of felony gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Police are still investigating the crash, and continue to reconstruct the accident. Regardless, this is an accident that never should have happened. Driving while intoxicated is never okay, and now a young man has lost his life due to another man’s poor choices. This motorcycle accident was 100% preventable.
