A young man sustained serious injuries last Friday in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Arrow Highway and Maine Ave between Irwindale and Baldwin Park.
The incident took place around 1:20 pm.
The rider has been described as a 19-year-old male from West Covina.
An SUV, driven by a 21-year-old Covina man, made a left turn from westbound Arrow Hwy towards southbound Maine Ave. In doing so, he crossed into the path of the eastbound motorcyclist, who struck the SUV.
The rider sustained major injuries and was transported to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not stated whether alcohol or drugs may have been a factor.
Vehicle drivers not looking for riders and turning in front of motorcyclists is a common cause of accidents. Wearing brightly colored gear, being very aware, and riding at the speed limit can help reduce chances of a collision. The Covina motorcycle lawyers here at RiderzLaw offer our wishes for a full recovery for this rider. We beg you readers to please, look out for yourselves out on the roads.
