SAN FRANCISCO: The San Francisco motorcycle accident lawyers at Riderz Law are sorry to report a motorcycle accident that happened last week in San Francisco. According to police, a motorcycle, ridden by Jacob Mizelle from New Orleans, along with a passenger, was travelling on Geary Blvd, when a truck turned from Geary onto Laguna in front of the motorcycle. Mizelle’s bike struck the side of the truck, and both rider and passenger were severely injured. Mizelle died at the scene because of his injuries, and his passenger, a 24-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Our thoughts and prayers are with this rider and passenger, and their families. The accident remains under investigation, and the truck driver has cooperated with authorities.
As motorcycle accident attorneys, we see accidents like this all too often. Drivers fail to notice motorcyclists on the roadway and cross into their path. Often the drivers never see the bike until the collision has occurred. Sadly, even the most careful riders cannot always avoid accidents like this. Motorcyclists can reduce the risk of such accidents, however, by taking a good motorcycle safety course, wearing bright and/or reflective clothing and equipment, and riding defensively.
As always, the San Francisco motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law implore you to ride smart and ride safe.
