PRUNEDALE MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LAWYER REPORT: The motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law have a tragic accident to report from Prunedale. On Saturday, July 29, 2017 a family motorcycle road trip ended in tragedy. At approximately 10am on Highway 101 near Prunedale, CA a family was on a trip on their motorcycles when they encountered heavy traffic. The father and mother were traveling together and swerved into to the slow lane avoiding the cars that were stopping in front of them. Their son, 24-year-old Steven Meacham, collided with the back of a GMC Yukon, which ejected him from the bike. Meacham was thrown under a tractor trailer where he was truck by the big rig. Tragically, Meacham did not survive his injuries. The driver of the big rig did not stop at the scene, but also may have been unaware of the accident.
Police are still investigating the crash, although they do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash. Regardless, this is an accident that never should have happened. Whether it was being distracted, carelessness, or failure to ride within skill level, this motorcycle accident was 100% preventable.
