OAKLAND MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LAWYER REPORT: The motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law have a tragic accident to report from Oakland. On Sunday, February 12, 2017, 22-year-old Omar Nuno of San Lorenzo dies in a motorcycle crash. He was on his Suzuki motorcycle, traveling westbound on International, when a Chevrolet Taheo attempted to make a left turn in front of the bike onto 39th Ave and struck Nuno. Nuno was thrown from the bike and landed on a nearby parked vehicle. Responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The SUV cooperated with police, and it does not appear that alcohol was a factor.
Police are still investigating the crash, although they have stated that speed may have been a factor, although they did not say which vehicle was speeding. Regardless, this is an accident that never should have happened. Whether it was speedingl, carelessness, or failure to ride within skill level, this motorcycle accident was 100% preventable.
