Oakland MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LAWYER REPORT: The motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law have a tragic accident to report from Oakland. Early Sunday morning on 9/11/16, at approximately 2am, CHP recieved reports of an incident on eastbound I-980 near the 27th St. on-ramp. They responded to find 40-year-old Steven Lee, a Rodeo resident, on the shoulder with his 2006 Harley-Davidson. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was reported as a hit and run, but CHP officers have not been able to determine if other vehicles were involved.
Police are still investigating the crash, and have not stated whether alcohol was a contributing factor. Regardless, this is an accident that never should have happened. Whether it was alcohol, carelessness, inattentive drivers, or failure to ride within skill level, this motorcycle accident was 100% preventable.
