The 2017 lineup for MotoGP’s factory teams has taken shape. Most of the big surprises were already known, but a few fun moves have taken place. The only team with no change is Honda. Here is a look at the 2017 teams:
Mac Marquez and Danni Pedrosa
Valentino Rossi will be joined Maverick Vinales (from Suzuki where he had a 3rd place in France this year, giving Suzuki its first MotoGP podium since 2008).
Andrea Dovizioso will be joined by defending champion Jorge Lorezo (from Movistar Yamaha).
Alex Rins (from Moto2, with four podiums and two wins this year) and Andrea Iannone (from Ducati).
Bradley Smith (Yamaha Tech 3) and current teammate Pol Esparago (also from Yamaha Tech 3).
Sam Lowes (from Moto2, with four podiums and a win already this year) and Jonas Fulger (also from Moto2, where he’s had two podium fishes this year).
I would expect some good analysis of this from the BrotoGP boys in their next podcast.
