You always hear the advertisement on the news, radio, and at your local gas station or grocery. Jackpot is up to 200 million dollars! Make all your wishes come true! Well, for any true motorcyclist, it would be a dream to be able to buy any bike we want. In fact,I'd estimate that most motorcylists would ideally have 4 or 5 bikes parked in their garage if they could. There are so many to chose from nowadays, and all can do something different. Some can take you on and off road, some can take you commuting from California to South Dakota, some you take to the track to race.
I absolutely love my Yamaha FZ6R and feel we were a match made in heaven. She sits upright, is beautiful, easily maintained and can find parts online, and goes all the right speeds at all the right times. However, I also own a dirt bike, a Honda 150R. Both bikes are great, but there is no way I could take the FZ6R to the local dirt track and try the jumps! And the 150R is not street legal nor does she have street tires. Motorcyclists enjoy riding in different positions, speeds, comfort levels, dirt and street, so it is only natural to want several kinds of bikes for whatever mood you are in.
In the case that I won the lottery, one of the first things I would do is buy three more motorcycles. A cruiser, a dual sport, and a supersport bike. For the cruiser (hopefully my next bike) I would like a Harley Davidson Sportster SuperLow. There is nothing like riding with a pack of Harley Davidsons and feeling so bad ass! Next, I'd choose a BMW dual sport, most likey the F800GS. As for another street bike, defintely a Ducati 848. Each serves their own purpose, and have their own personalities.
Alas, I must stop dreaming, and until I win the lottery, I will not have a garage full of my favorite bikes. But, motoryclists can dream, and dream big we do.
If you could have two or three more bikes in your life, what would you decide on?
