SAN DIEGO MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LAWYER REPORT: The San Diego motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law have an accident to report from Vista. Last Sunday, a motorcyclist and his passenger were injured when the rider laid his bike down in order to avoid hitting a vehicle that pulled out in front of them. According to the San Diego County Sherriff’s Department reports, the motorcyclist, a 33 year old male, was riding a 1986 Harley Davidson on East Vista Way near Franklin Lane around 10 pm when a vehicle pulled out of a parking lot in front of him and his female passenger. In an effort to avoid a collision, the rider laid his bike down on the road. The female passenger suffered a serious injury to her arm and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The rider also suffered injuries – mainly some abrasions on his leg from the road. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this rider and his passenger for a quick and full recovery.
From preliminary reports, it appears that this is yet another case of a negligent driver failing to pay attention to the road and pulling out in front of an innocent motorcyclist. As a motorcycle accident lawyer in California, I unfortunately see these types of accidents all the time. Thankfully, the rider in this case was able to take evasive action and avoid what would have almost certainly been a much worse (and potentially fatal) crash. We remind all of our clients and readers to ride smart, ride safe, and stay alert for inattentive drivers.
