Ever wanted to zip around the mean streets of Gothem City, prowling for evil doers? Or maybe it's been your lifelong dream to crush that pesky Rebel Alliance once and for all. As far as we're aware, no company is yet manufacturing those awesome "speeder bikes" from Return of the Jedi, or mass producing the Bat-Mobile. But now, you can at least dress the part as you cruise around on your Harley V-Rod or Yamaha V-Max, thanks to the folks at UD Replicas. The Canada-based company now offers motorcycle suits designed to look like movie characters, including Storm Troopers, the Dark Knight, Iron Man, the X-Men, and Tron.
Personally, I think that unless you're on your way to Comic-Con or a Star Trek convention, the outfits are a little much. And in our experience, bikers in towns like Long Beach and Riverside get enough negative attention from law enforcement without dressing up in costumes. On the other hand, can it really bring worse police attention than wearing club colors? Food for thought.
In any event, to each their own. And for the record, the motorcycle accident lawyers here at Riderz Law are not endorsing these products. We have no idea how they stand up in crash and safety tests, and we're certain that there are far better helmets out there than the ones that make you look like a Storm Trooper. (In fact, the website does not sell the helmets directly, and offers the following disclaimer: Stormtrooper Helmets are for Promotional Use only.) But if it's something you have to have, better get that letter to the North Pole updated. Only twelve shopping days left!
As always, wear proper safety equipment, and ride safe.
