RIVERSIDE MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT ATTORNEY REPORT: The Riverside Motorcycle Accident lawyers at Riderz Law have learned of an injury-accident that occurred in Moreno Valley. On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4:30, a Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy was injured in an accident while trying to make a routine traffic stop. The officer, who was on his motorcycle, was riding through the intersection of Heacock Street and Webster Avenue with lights and sirens activated, attempting to pull over a motorist in front of him. While riding through the intersection, the officer collided with a sedan driven by a 20 year-old woman, who made a left-hand turn directly in front of him. The officer was ejected from his bike and taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery go out to this sheriff’s deputy.
As motorcycle accident attorneys in California, we see accidents like this every day. All too often, motorists make left turns at intersections without even bothering to look for oncoming motorcyclists. In this case, the motorcyclist was a police officer who was flashing his lights and blaring his siren! If a motorist can’t see this guy coming, what chance do us civilian riders have?? Luckily, the officer in this case was not seriously injured. In most cases, motorcycle accidents at intersections result in serious injuries.
