ORANGE COUNTY MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT LAWYER REPORT: The motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law have learned of accident involving an Orange County sheriff’s deputy. Last Tuesday, two motorcyclists were speeding on the I-5 in Mission Viejo, and were pursued by California Highway Patrol. The two motorcyclists then exited the freeway and fled onto side-streets – their speeds topping out at over 130mph. Local sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit. During the chase, one deputy crashed into the back of a car, suffering serious injuries and possible broken bones. Our thoughts go out to this sheriff’s deputy, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
It has been reported that one of the suspects is now in custody, and that the second suspect will likely be apprehended soon. As motorcycle accident attorneys and as motorcyclists ourselves, we find it offensive that a few reckless punks like this give people a negative impression of the motorcycle community in general. In our experience, the vast majority of riders are law-abiding, safety-conscious individuals. Unfortunately, people often make false assumptions about our community based on a few bad apples.
We remind our clients and readers to ride smart and ride safe (and to avoid 130 mph car chases through the neighborhoods of Mission Viejo . . .)
