Orange County Motorcycle Accident Attorney Report: Our lawyers have learned of a motorcycle accident that occurred in Irvine last week. According to local authorities, a man and female passenger were riding a late model Triumph motorcycle when they collided with a sedan at the intersection of Barranca Parkway and Von Karman. Preliminary reports indicate that the sedan made an improper left turn in front of the motorcyclists, causing a collision that ejected both rider and passenger from the bike. Although both rider and passenger suffered moderate injuries, thankfully, both were wearing helmets and avoided more serious harm. Our best wishes to these motorcyclists for a quick recovery.
As motorcycle accident lawyers in OC, we see accidents like this all the time. Car drivers simply fail to see oncoming motorcyclists at intersections and fail to yield the right-of-way. In a collision between a car and a motorcycle, there is never a doubt as to who suffers more damage. Fortunately, in this incident the rider and passenger escaped serious injury. We remind our clients and readers to always exercise extreme caution when approaching an intersection, and to always be on the lookout for inattentive car drivers. Unfortunately, irresponsible and careless drivers are fact of life for us motorcyclists. Ride smart and ride safe.
