LOS ANGELES MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT ATTORNEY REPORT: The motorcycle accident lawyers at Riderz Law have learned of a tragic accident that occurred earlier this week on Pacific Coast Highway just south of Malibu. According to California Highway Patrol, a rider on a late-model Harley-Davidson Motorcycle was traveling northbound on PCH between Santa Monica and Malibu when he stopped suddenly due to traffic and was rear-ended by Range Rover SUV. The SUV slammed on its brakes but struck the motorcyclist traveling at 20 miles per hour at the point of impact. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and severely injured. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is recovering from his injuries. Our best wishes go out to this rider for a speedy recovery.
Unfortunately, as motorcycle accident lawyers and riders ourselves, we often see accidents caused by inattentive drivers who fail to notice motorcycles on the road. The stretch of Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu is particularly dangerous, as drivers travel at a very high rate of speed and are often forced to stop suddenly. We remind our clients and readers to ride smart and ride safe – particularly when traveling on dangerous roadways where accidents are common.
