Orange County Motorcycle Accident Attorney Report: A fatal motorcycle accident occurred last Saturday night in San Clemente. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a 23 year-old male was riding his motorcycle with a female passenger on Avenida Cordoba when he lost control and slammed into a guardrail, throwing him and his passenger from the motorcycle.
The male rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital after the crash but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. His female passenger, who was wearing a helmet, was treated at the hospital and released.
Authorities believe that excessive speed may have been a factor in the cause of the motorcycle accident. It is uncertain whether drugs or alcohol were involved. Our thoughts and prayers are with the slain rider and his family.
From preliminary reports, it appears that this accident was due to unsafe riding, and was completely preventable. All too often, the motorcycle accident lawyers at Riderz Law see accidents involving young, inexperienced, and sometimes reckless riders who fail to ride with proper safety precautions. They fail to wear proper safety equipment, fail to ride within their skill level, and fail to ride safely for conditions. Unfortunately, when it comes to motorcycles, one mistake can be fatal. As always, we urge our clients and readers to ride safely and responsibly.
