SAN DIEGO: Our motorcycle accident attorney in San Diego has a tragic accident to report from last week. Last Thursday, a 19-year-old man was severely injured when his motorcycle ran into the back of a vehicle while traveling on Mira Mesa Boulevard. According to California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was riding east on Mira Mesa Boulevard near Dabney Drive when he approached congested traffic ahead. The rider failed to stop his motorcycle in time, and struck the back of a late model Honda Civic, throwing him off his bike. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fractured leg, among other injuries. The motorcycle accident lawyers here at Riderz Law wish this motorcyclist a speedy recovery from his injuries.
From preliminary reports, it appears that alcohol was not a factor in the accident. Nevertheless, it appears that this accident could have and should have been avoided by the motorcyclist. We cannot stress enough the importance of paying constant attention to the road and to traffic in front of you while riding a motorcycle. While a momentary lapse in concentration by a car driver may simply result in a “fender bender” for that driver, the same accident could mean death or serious injury for someone on a motorcycle. As attorney and as fellow motorcyclists ourselves, we unfortunately see tragedies play out every day. Ride smart and ride safe.
