A few days ago, we received an inquiry regarding where to find reasonably-priced overnight motorcycle parking in downtown San Diego. We did a little research, and came up with an idea — Riderz Law should offer free links on our website for any hotel that will offer free motorcycle parking to their guests! We are working on this idea now.
Keep those emails coming! With your help, we will make RiderzLaw.com the best resource for California motorcycle information on the web! Here is the email:
Dear San Diego Motorcycle Accident Lawyer:
I’m visiting San Diego this weekend, and staying at a downtown hotel (the Courtyard Marriott in downtown San Diego, then at the Holiday Inn on the Bay). They want to charge me $30 per night. Is there any safe place to park my Harley-Davidson downtown without paying $30 to the hotel?
Dear Arizona Biker:
We’ve been making a few calls on your behalf. There is motorcycle parking throughout downtown San Diego (see list below), but I’m sure that you are looking for secured parking, since you will be staying overnight. The Courtyard lot charges $15 per day for motorcycles (half the price of cars), and the Holiday Inn on the Bay has free parking for its guests. I have been on the phone with various management people from Courtyard, trying to negotiate a deal whereby we would give them free advertising on our site — i.e., list them as a San Diego hotel that offers free parking for motorcycles, if they would agree to allow bikes to park for free. We have gotten a positive response from them, though I think that it is unlikely that such a deal will be reached by this weekend. Nonetheless, I will keep you posted if we can make this happen in time for your stay.
For your information, here is a list of motorcycle parking areas in downtown SD that we’ve found with a little research. Please be aware, however, that we have not personally checked all of these out yet, so the info may be dated or inaccurate.
