REDDING: The Shasta County motorcycle accident lawyers at Riderz Law have another unfortunate fatal accident to report. Last week, a 28 year-old man was killed in the early morning while riding on Deschutes Road north of Mustang Avenue. According to California Highway Patrol, the rider, who was on a 2002 Yamaha, ran off the side of the road and crashed through a barbed wire fence. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It appears that this was a solo motorcycle accident.
It is unclear how fast the rider was going, what caused the accident, or whether there was anything the rider could have done to prevent it. As motorcycle accident attorneys, we see tragic accidents every day, and do everything we can to promote rider safety and accident prevention. As motorcyclists ourselves, however, we understand that there are inherent risks involved in riding, and that we riders accept those risks in exchange for doing what we love. Our thoughts and prayers are with this rider and his family.
