The man was severely injured from the crash, and was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries several hours later. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident. We will update this report as new information develops.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle accident attorneys at Riderz Law see these types of motorcycle accidents every day. Careless drivers don’t pay attention and simply don’t see us riders until it’s too late. Although some riders believe that 3-wheeled motorcycles are more visible to cars, that obviously wasn’t the case in this accident. In general, we riders should always assume that we are INVISIBLE to cars on the road, because in many instances, we are. It is unclear what this rider could have done differently to avoid this tragic accident – there isn’t much one can do to avoid being rear-ended. Sadly, there are some accidents that are simply not preventable, no matter how careful a motorcyclist is. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this rider and his family.
