According to the Bakersfield Police Department, while riding northbound Guillermo was unable to negotiate the curve of the roadway, causing him to drift into the curb. The collision threw him from the bike. He died on-scene from his injuries.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were immediately implicated, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Jared Diedrich at 326-3967 or the Secret Witness Hotline at 322-4040.
The feeling that comes over riders when they realize they have pushed into a corner a bit too hard is one known to us all. We should take a second to consider, that it isn’t as if we haven’t all been in a bit too far over our heads, and that it’s often by sheer luck as to whether we come out of it unscathed or on the tarmac. The Los Angeles motorcycle accident lawyers here at RiderzLaw offer our deepest condolences to the fallen rider and wish all our readers safe rides on our motorways.
