A San Diego resident has been killed when his Harley Davidson motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Chevy pickup truck

42-year-old Jason Lee Hansen was riding down the 8400-block of Miramar Rd in front of the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum when the pickup crossed into his lane.

Hansen was not able to avoid a collision with the truck, and was later pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. He leaves behind a wife and daughters, according to a medical examiner's report.

The investigation regarding the accident is still ongoing.

This is the accident that riders fear most. Riding safely and aware, not breaking any laws, and having a vehicle break from their path or make an illegal gesture and cause a collision. Hansen is the victim here of a random tragedy, and there was little to be done to avoid it. The San Diego motorcycle accident attorneys here at RiderzLaw offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased rider, who was taken needlessly in this crash.
