A man was killed early morning Sunday in a fatal crash that occurred in Pomona.

The incident took place at approximately 3:30 am when the rider, identified only as a black male in his 30’s, is alleged to have lost control of his 2006 Suzuki.

Reports say that the victim was ejected from his bike after colliding into “several objects”.

Emergency responders found the victim around White Avenue and Preciado Street. He had sustained severe injuries which he succumbed to on-scene.

Further identification of the victim has been deferred until notification of the family.

These types of tragedies remind us of the dangers we as riders face on the roads, regardless of the time and place. There are any number of factors which can lead to incidents, variables which often change based on the time of day and road conditions. In an accident which offers few or no witnesses, the exact cause will often remain a tragic mystery.
