A Palm Desert resident has been killed in an accident in his home town on Friday.

The incident occurred around 7:00 am when the rider, identified as 26-year-old Uriel Garcia, was riding on Bursera Way.

Reports state that while turning onto HWY-74, a collision occurred between him and a truck already on the highway (the driver of which has not been identified).

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.

Investigating authorities will look into factors such as right-of-way and speed. They have also already stated that intoxication is likely not a factor in the incident.

It is a tragic reality for riders, that no matter who is at-fault in an accident, it’s the rider who will almost always pay the price. The Riverside motorcycle accident lawyers here at RiderzLaw offer our deepest and most sincere condolences to the affected family and friends of this incident.

We beg you readers to please, look out for yourselves on the motorways and drive with extreme caution at all times.
